Resident Can't Pay Rent Online
Reason #1: If a resident is unable to pay online via RentPayment, you will need to check TWO places in their MRI account.
The first is the "Block e-payment" box found on the Lease Information tab. The second is the "No Checks in Cash Receipts" box found in the Occupants tab when a resident is selected.
Both of these boxes do the SAME THING. If one or both of these boxes are checked, a resident will not be able to make any online payments.
*Also keep in mind that MRI and RentPayment only sync once a day at 2am. So if you uncheck one of these boxes, the resident will not be able to pay until the following morning.
Reason #2: The second reason a resident may not be able to pay online is if they have over 2 NSF Checks (listed in the screenshot below). If anyone has 3 NSFs or above, you'll need to email Leigh Ann Singleton to see if that number can be lowered. If it can't, that resident will need to come into the office to make payments.
