No Internet - Only with some computers
If not all the computers at your property are having internet issues, those computers are likely connected to a TP-link device (2 models pictured below). These allow you to get a traditional "wired" signal that's faster and more reliable than WiFi, in areas that are difficult to get a physical cable to. When they disconnect, they typically just need to be re-synced.
First, you should find all of the TP-link devices in your office. They will typically be plugged into a wall outlet for power and then have ethernet cables coming out of them providing internet to:
- Computers
- Printers
- Time Clocks
There will ALWAYS be one TP-link in your internet closet/area that is plugged into your SonicWall router. We call this TP-link the "master" as it sends the internet signal to all of the other TP-link devices.
Once you locate the master TP-link and all others in your office, you simply need to unplug each one (starting with the master) from the power outlet for 30 seconds and then plug it back in. If the devices re-synced successfully, you should see 3 lights on the TP-link ensuring it's now connected and giving internet.
If you don't, please submit an IT ticket via the portal and let us know that you have already tried to power cycle your TP-link.
