Brother MFC-L2750DW Printer - Clear Toner and Reset Drum
Have you just replaced the toner on your printer but it's STILL telling you that it needs to be replaced?
Or are you getting a "replace drum" message on your printer? Before actually replacing your drum (which can be expensive), try resetting the drum counter first! It may not need to be replaced at all.
Brother printers don't automatically recognize when toner or a drum has been replaced, so you need to manually reset the "counters" in the printer. The counters are similar to the odometer in your car, after so many "miles" or pages printed, your printer will give you these replacement warnings once you reach a certain threshold on the counter, regardless if there's actually a problem or not.
Below are two easy to follow step-by-step videos on how to reset your toner counter (left) and reset your drum counter (right) for our most common Brother printer model at Southwood properties.
