How To Setup Your Yubi Key
Step 1
First - before you can continue, you need to have your Temporary Access Pass (or TAP) from the IT Department.
This will be sent via email to a user who already has an active Yubi Key, shortly after submitting your Temporary Password request ticket from the IT Support Portal.
The password to open your TAP link is: Ren3wal!
Step 2
Once you have your TAP, you will go to a computer and have another Southwood employee login using their Yubi Key.
Once they are logged in, they will remove their Yubi Key and you will insert the Yubi Key you are setting up for yourself.
Then you will open Microsoft Edge (you have to use this browser for this setup) and go to: office.com
OR
Step 3
You will then see one of two screens:
If you see this screen, continue to step 4.
If you see this screen, click "Sign in with another account".

Continue to step 4
Then click on "Use another account" and continue to step 4.

Step 4
You will then enter your personalized email address. The naming convention is: firstname.lastname@southwoodrealty.com (i.e. john.smith@southwoodrealty.com)

Step 5
Click on "Skip for now"

Step 6
You should now be logged into your Microsoft Account. From here, you will click on your initials in the bottom left hand corner.

Step 7
Then click on "View Account" in the box that pops up.

Step 8
Then click on "Security Info".
Step 9
Select your name and email address (even if there are multiple listed).

Step 10
Click on "Add sign-in method".

Step 11
Select "Security key".

Step 12
Select "USB device".

Step 13
Follow the following highlighted steps in the box that pops up:
*Note - a QR code may show up. If so, just click "Back" until you see this screen.
Step 14
Type in a password that ONLY YOU will know.
The only requirements are that it has to be 6 characters. You can use numbers, letters, special characters, etc.
*Note, even though it is asking for a PIN, you can still use letters to make the password memorable to you. Only you will know your password. The IT Department does not have access to see it, but we can reset it for you if needed.
Enter the password twice and click OK.

Step 15
Once you setup your PIN/Password, you need to confirm you're a human by touching the green blinking "Y" on your Yubi Key.
You will see the screen below and then lightly touch the Y circle on your Yubi Key twice to confirm you are physically present at your computer.
Step 16
Then you will name your key as "Yubi Key".

Step 17
Click "Done".

Step 18
Now you're going to sign out of your account. To do this, click your initials in the upper right hand corner.

Step 19
Click on "Sign Out" and then choose your name and email address to sign out of. Once this is complete, you can close all the tabs in the browser.
Step 20
That's it! Your Yubi Key is now assigned to you. You can now go to your normal computer, plug your Yubi Key in, and sign in with your newly created password. Don't forget to plug the Yubi Key in "Y" side up so you can touch it!
If you have any issues with this process, please let us know by submitting an IT ticket.
Remember, going forward, all properties on the new computer setup will use the SSO login button to access the IT Portal (and more websites later on)! And with the new SSO (Single Sign On) process, you will only be able to login if you're using the Microsoft Edge browser.
